The Regional & Urban Design Committee connects architects and allied professionals committed to improving the quality of regional and urban environments through design, planning, and public policy.
Our mission
Promoting excellence in the built environment.
RUDC supports member and public education in concert with allied community and professional groups. Its national network brings together architecture, urban design, planning, landscape, higher education, government, and civic practice.
The annual symposium creates a focused place for that network to provoke, critique, and exchange ideas about the future of cities and regions.

The 2026 RUDC Symposium is embedded in ACSA Intersections: Urban Design Matters, presented with ACSA and the Urban Design Academic Council and hosted by CCNY, NYIT, and AIA New York.
